Bedding (Wood Shavings)

During the winter, we get through a lot of bedding in the main three stables in the top barn. We use a combination of dust-free wood shavings along with an underlayment of straw pellets which are extremely absorbent. This has proved an excellent combination in keeping the stalls dry for the horses when they spend a night in or requiring stabling for recupreation.

We like to offer a deep soft bed to the horses that are in as this will often be the older boys or girls who need to have the occasional night in to get a good rest.

A pallet consists of 42 bales of shaving at £8.40/bale so any contribution will be much appreciated
