In the silver lining category of the 2020 covid-19 global pandemic, Wendy Mason-Smth began crafting beautiful hand-made felt pieces--scarves, "heartFelt hugs", and bags--during lockdown and donating them for raffle or sale with all proceeds going to benefit TFE. The felt (or "floof", as Wendy charmingly refers to it) is crafted from the wool of Zwartble and Merino sheep. (Tamara's Zwartble sheepies would like it known they've done their bit for TFE by donating). All of these items are fashioned in the individual horses colours with some of their laundered tail hair worked in to the design of the hearts.

Whether you call them floofy, fluffy, or felty, Wendy's beautiful, one-of-a-kind pieces of functional art are a wonderful contribution to TFE. Appreciated and enjoyed by supporters around the world, they not only serve as a wonderful reminder of the Friesians but are no-doubt conversation-starters about The Friesian Experience as well.
