HOLLY DOBSON

Holly first started coming to Greenbank Farm with her mum Sarah and sister Freya when she was just 4 years old in 2008. Over the years she has got to know all our horses inside out and it's been a joy to watch her grow in confidence around them. In 2019 she took on Noortje, a young mare abandoned with us who had a number of health issues. Through Holly’s gentle guidance and understanding she started some training and Holly was able to back her and start hacking her out.

It was devastating for us all but in particular Holly when we lost her in 2020 to colic but she will always be remembered for the incredible bond she developed with her during their time together. Holly is currently doing an apprenticeship with local dressage trainer Melanie Turner but also works a couple of days a week at The Friesian Experience. Like her mum Sarah she is often one step ahead and can always be relied on for her sense of humour and ability to prioritise what needs to be done each day.
